The Consumer Electronics Show opened to great fanfare earlier today. After a pre-launch opening Wednesday night with speakers from Microsoft and other major vendors, the official convention showcase opened to the public earlier today. The Consumer Electronics Show, hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada, is presented by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).

The Consumer Electronics Association is the preeminent trade association promoting growth in the $173 billion U.S. consumer electronics industry. More than 2,200 companies enjoy the benefits of CEA membership, including legislative advocacy, market research, technical training and education, industry promotion and the fostering of business and strategic relationships.
